A pair of “timid” cats are looking for their forever home together in this week’s RSPCA Southridge appeal.
Stray dog Bruce, and Memo and Otter the cats are this week’s trio looking for new owners in our regular RSPCA Southridge Find Me A Home appeal.
Memo and Otter are a handsome pair of one-year-old domestic shorthair cats looking for their forever home together.
“Both Memo and Otter are quite nervous, and have been slowly getting used to gentle, calm handling.
“Otter is the braver of the two and enjoys being stroked, whereas Memo is still very shy.”
Due to their timid nature, Memo and Otter require a quiet, adult-only home where they will be the only pets. They will need a patient owner who will give time to settle.
They need outside access to a secure garden for exploring.
The Southridge spokeswoman added: “Although these boys are timid, over time and once trust is built, they will make lovely pets.
“They just need someone to give them a second chance at happiness!”
• Bruce is a four-year-old Bulldog who is looking for a new home.
“Sadly he was found as a stray so his past is unknown,” said a spokeswoman for the RSPCA centre in Packhorse Lane, Ridge.
Bruce needs a home with older children and will need someone to be home most of the day.
The Southridge spokeswoman added: “He is good with most dogs but would prefer to be the only pet in the household.
“Bruce walks lovely on the lead and loves playing ball in the compound.
“He is a loving dog once he gets to know you and really enjoys a fuss.”
Bruce would benefit from some further training and needs to have access to a secure garden.
“He is a charming chap who can’t wait to find his new forever home,” added the RSPCA representative.
• If you are interested in rehoming any of the animals featured this week, the RSPCA centre in Ridge, Potters Bar, is open from 11am to 4.15pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Southridge is also open on Sundays from 1pm to 4.15pm.
