Rocco the dog, Agnes the cat and Hilda the ferret are this week’s trio of pets at RSPCA Southridge looking for new owners in the Welwyn Hatfield Times Potters Bar Edition’s weekly Find Me A Home appeal.

Agnes is a beautiful two-year-old domestic semi longhair cat who was unfortunately found skinny and hungry by a member of public.

A Southridge spokeswoman said: “Agnes can be very sweet, but also has a feisty side to her so will need an owner who will respect her space and let her come to them.”

Agnes would like an adult only home and may be able to live with another cat.

She will also need access to a secure garden.

“Agnes has had a rough start in life,” said the spokeswoman for the RSPCA centre in Packhorse Lane.

“It’s about time her luck changed so she can find a loving home.”

Rocco is a handsome six-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who finds himself at Southridge through no fault of his own.

The RSPCA spokeswoman said: “Rocco is a fantastic dog who loves his human companions and would be quite happy to have cuddles all day long.”

Rocco is looking for an adult only, pet-free home where his new owners will take him to training classes and help him learn how to socialise better with other dogs.

The Southridge spokeswoman added: “Rocco is such a gorgeous boy and a true rescue who really does deserve to find his forever home.”

Hilda is a cute young ferret who was found as a stray, but is now ready to find a forever home.

She is a very sweet and cuddly girl who loves to play.

Hilda requires a large enclosure, and as ferrets are social animals, it would be nice if she could be homed with another ferret.
