Can you help abandoned cat Biscuit find a loving home?
A cat found abandoned outside a shop is looking for her forever home.
Biscuit the cat, Sophie the dog, and Lumiere the Russian hamster are this week’s trio of pets at RSPCA Southridge looking for new owners in the Welwyn Hatfield Times’ Find Me A Home appeal.
Beautiful Biscuit is a 12-year-old female domestic shorthair.
A Southridge spokeswoman said: “She was found abandoned outside a shop and deserves to find a loving forever home where she will be cherished.
“She is a lovely girl who enjoys a fuss and a cuddle but will let you know when she has had enough.”
Biscuit has a few medical issues which can be discussed in more detail at the centre.
She can be homed with children of secondary school age.
Biscuit will require access to the outdoors and to be the only pet in the home.
Sweet Sophie, meanwhile, is a three-year-old Chihuahua crossbreed.
She is looking for a new home after her owner sadly passed away.
A spokeswoman for the centre in Packhorse Lane said: “She finds kennel life very stressful, so she is currently being fostered.
“Once she gets to know you she is an affectionate girl who enjoys snuggling on the sofa and nice long walks.
“We are looking for a quiet, adult home as noise and commotion makes her anxious.”
Sophie might be able to live with another dog but not cats.
She can be left for a few hours and will require some further training.
Lovely Lumiere is a male Russian hamster who is under six months old.
The RSPCA spokeswoman said: “Lumiere came from a household where the hamsters were left to breed and the situation became out of control.
“He is a very sweet boy who will require a spacious cage/tank with lots of toys for him to explore.”
