The route for the inaugural Women's Tour has been unveiled in Welwyn Garden City this morning (Wednesday).

At a launch event at the Gosling Sports Centre, guests were shown a map showing the fourth stage of the landmark cycle race, which climaxes in the town.

Some of the world’s top riders will be racing, including former Welwyn Wheelers Laura Trott and her sister Emma.

The 54.6 mile route will start from Churchgate in Cheshunt on May 10, and will finish at Parkway in Welwyn Garden City.
