Police have released an image of a Rolex of sentimental value which was stolen from a 16-year-old boy at an event in Hatfield.
The teenager was approached by a group of up to eight offenders at Eastern Electrics at Hatfield House on Saturday, August 6, who threatened him to hand over the watch.
The watch is a Gold Rolex Day Date with the serial number 5810046, and is worth £7,000.
Detective Constable Emily Martin, who is investigating, said: “The watch is of sentimental value as it belonged to the victim’s father. It was left to him and his mother and understandably both are keen to see it returned.
“If you have seen this watch for sale or perhaps have been approached by someone trying to sell it to you I would ask that you please contact police.”
If you have any information on the whereabouts of the watch please contact the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number B2/16/4065.
