CYCLISTS were targeted twice in under one hour by robbers in Welwyn Garden City.

Three men approached a 20-year-old woman who was riding her bike down Woodhall Lane on September 19 just after 8.30pm and threatened her to hand over her phone.

She got away but just half an hour later a 19-year-old man – who was also cycling – was stopped by three men.

He was struck in the face and threatened before they made off with his mobile.

The thugs then ran off towards the Woodhall shops leaving the victim with minor facial injuries.

Police want to speak to anyone who was in the Woodhall Lane area on September 19 and might have seen the incidents or three men acting suspiciously.

If you know anything call Det Con Beverley Larman via the Herts Police non – emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number B1/12/2663 or B1/12/2650.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Three men have been arrested in connection with the incidents.
