Roadworks to disrupt Welwyn Garden City

ESSENTIAL roadworks will causes traffic to be diverted from Chequers in WGC.

The road will be closed between Broadwater Road and Howlands from Monday (January 5) for 10 days overnight and at weekends.

There will also be temporary two-way traffic lights during off peak hours - 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Workers will carry out resurfacing and smaller jobs including replacing ironworks.

Diversion routes including the A6129 Stanborough Road, A414 between Great North Road and Hertford Road, and A1000 Mill Green Road will be in place.
