A woman was verbally abused and had stones thrown at her car in Welwyn Garden City Town Centre yesterday.

Between 6.05pm and 6.12pm yesterday in Stonehills, Welwyn Garden City, it was reported that a woman motorist was blocked by another vehicle.

A police spokeswoman said: “It was reported that the offender then got out of his car and threw stones at the woman’s vehicle. “The lady wound down her window and the offender shouted at her.

“Other members of the public intervened and told the man to move on.

“When the victim parked her vehicle, the offender took pictures of her on his mobile phone before walking off.

“No damage was caused to the vehicle.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference B1/17/214.
