Potters Bar residents were thanked by Hertsmere Borough Council for engaging with the latest phase of the new Local Plan.

More than 1,200 people from across the borough attended exhibitions in November, and more than 2,000 people commented on potential housing and employment sites in writing or via the online consultation portal.

Many people also expressed their views on the council’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

These comments will feed into the next stage, which is the publication of the draft Local Plan next spring. Once the draft has been completed the plan will be submitted to a planning inspector for approval.

Once finalised and adopted in 2021, the Local Plan will outline where development should take place over the next 15 years. Plans for Potters Bar include developing houses on land west of Dugdale Hill, by Potters Bar Golf Course, south of Oakroyd Avenue and south of Park Avenue.
