Police have logged a report of ‘suspicious activity’ following an incident in Hatfield.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 4.26pm on yesterday by a woman who reported that she had parked in the car park at the back of the Co-Op in Bishop’s Rise, Hatfield, and when she got out of her vehicle she was beckoned over by three men who wanted to show her some items they had for sale in the back of their van.

“She told them that she was not interested and went into the Co-op store where she spoke to a member of staff.

“The member of staff walked the woman back to her car and told the men to leave the woman alone. They said they only wanted to sell her some items.

“The lady called the police when she arrived home so this incident happened around 40 minutes earlier.”
