There is an opportunity to reminisce about Hatfield during the Seventies.

Hatfield library has a display of photographs from the county archives, celebrating the town in the 1970s.

Libary manager Jacky Green said: “We’re certainly hoping to generate a lot of interest.

“Anything to do with local history does attract a lot of people.”

Residents are also encouraged to bring along any of their own photos of Hatfield from days gone by.

Photographer Ken Wright, who took many photos of Hatfield during this era, has had many of his images displayed.

The display of photographs will be available for everyone to enjoy until Friday, January 27, during library opening hours.

This event is in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire Arts ‘John Myers: The World is not Beautiful’ photography exhibition, running until January 21 at the Art and Design Gallery, College Lane Campus, Hatfield.
