RECYCLING collections are continuing across Hertsmere today (Thursday), the Potters Bar Edition can confirm.
Collections of green and paper waste were suspended by the borough council on Monday and Tuesday due to snow, but subsequently resumed on Wednesday.
Jean Heywood, the council's environment portfolio holder, said: "We (have) started collecting from those properties which were due to receive a collection on Monday and Tuesday and so far the crews have worked really hard to catch up.
"However there inevitably will be some delays so we thank residents in advance for their patience."

She added: "We plan to work through to Saturday in order to catch up, but will of course have to review this situation on a daily basis as more snow is forecast in the coming days.
