A MAN smashed up a gambling machine and racially abused a shop assistant at a betting shop in Potters Bar.
On Friday, the man entered Ladbrokes Racing on High Street shortly after 5pm and became aggressive following a conversation with a member of staff.
He racially abused the assistant, before smashing the screen of a betting machine and picking up a chair.
He threatened to throw the chair at a shop assistant, before customers stepped in and the man ran out of the shop.
