Prospective MP for Hertsmere Oliver Dowden hit the campaign trail in Potters Bar ahead of the general election next month.
Conservative candidate Mr Dowden is bidding to be re-elected on June 8, and was spotted canvassing support in Darkes Lane last Friday.
He said: “I was honoured to be re-adopted as the Conservative Party’s candidate in Hertsmere.
“I’m passionate about defending what makes Hertsmere such a special place. It’s been a privilege to serve my home area and champion what matters to local residents as the MP over the last two years.”
He added that he has opposed houses being “dumped” on the edge of Potter Bar, and also helped secure new primary school facilities at the town’s Dame Alice Owen’s School.
Mr Dowden continued: “I’ve led debates in support of our NHS staff and local small businesses, and spoken out against anti-Semitism.
“As we shape our future after Brexit, I’ll use my skills and experience working in Downing Street to get us the best deal.
“The election on June 8 is an opportunity to back me as your strong local candidate, and to give Theresa May the mandate she needs to achieve the best deal for all of us.”
