Prince Charles has been photographed in Hatfield on a ‘private visit’.

The heir to the throne was photographed in The Stable Yard of Hatfield House with Lord Salisbury, hereditary owner of the Jacobean mansion yesterday (Tuesday).

An estate spokesman said: “The Prince of Wales made a private visit to the Marquess and Marchioness of Salisbury at Hatfield House on Tuesday.

“During his visit he undertook a brief tour of Old Hatfield to discuss the future regeneration plans for Salisbury Square and to see some recent developments undertaken by the estate.

“The Prince of Wales also met with members of the University of Hertfordshire from the Centre for Sustainable Communities.”
