Power tools snatched during Welwyn van raid

Police are appealing for information after power tools were stolen during a van raid in Welwyn.

Between around 6pm on Saturday, October 7 and 6.30am the following morning a Bosch powered hand grinder, white Kita powered hand grinder and powered saw were taken from a white Ford Transit van.

A police spokeswoman said officers were investigating and urged anyone with information to contact them via non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference B1/17/4032.

Last night another van was also raided in Lumbards, Welwyn Garden City, during which power tools were snatched.

The spokeswoman added: “Between 4am and 6am on Monday, October 9, power tools and a radio were stolen from a white Ford Transit van in Lumbards.

A Makita leaf blower, jig saw and drill were also taken.

Anyone with information can contact police via the same number, quoting crime reference B1/17/4053.
