Dan Winter rode his bike around Oakmere Park 50 times in a bid to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The Little Heath Primary School pupil’s younger cousin undergoes kindey treatment at GOSH, and his good friend from school also receives care there.

Dan’s mum, Dee Sardi, said: “We are so proud of Dan’s achievement as it was his choice to do the sponsored bike ride by himself. He initially wanted to do this on his 10th birthday but we convinced him to do it afterwards.

“We would like to thank his primary school for encouraging him to raise money.”

Staff at the Harvester in Potters Bar also helped to raise donations by placing a donation pot in the restaurant.
