A Potters Bar woman who fiddled more than £7,000 from the shop where she worked has escaped with a suspended prison sentence after pleading guilty to theft.
Amel Ben’Aissa, 26, of Mutton Lane was given a six-month suspended prison sentence by St Albans magistrates, thanks to strong mitigating circumstances.
Working at Monsoon Accessorize in London Colney between May and November last year, she processed refunds of £7,681 onto her personal debit card.
She was ordered to do 140 hours of unpaid work,
