NEXT Saturday is the first National Armed Forces Day, a day organised to honour the servicemen and women past and present.
To celebrate the occasion, the Potters Bar branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) is inviting current or ex Armed Forces members from the Potters Bar, South Mimms, Little Heath and Bentley Heath areas to attend an evening of live music and fish and chips.
You do not have to be a member of the RBL to attend, but call treasurer Neil McMurray on 01707 643435 as soon as you can to book your place.
The event starts at 8pm at the RBL Potters Bar Branch in Cotton Road.
