A generous family company has raised even more money for a charity that helps disabled people.

The RO Group, based in Potters Bar, raised over £8,500 for Herts Action on Disability (HAD) thanks to a hotly anticipated quiz night.

The evening also included a huge and varied raffle with holidays as prizes.

It is the 17th year that the RO Group has held the quiz, which draws business people from far and wide.

Over the years, the RO quiz event has firmly established itself by raising an astonishing £65,000 for Herts based charities.

This year’s event, held in March, saw 22 teams gather at the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar to take part.

The money raised will go towards refurbishing HAD’s equipment centre and purchasing a replacement transport vehicle.

RO Group Chairman Richard Rowlandson’s team, ‘Chairman’s Chums’ answered most of the questions to finish first place.
