A RESTAURANT in Potters Bar is looking to extend its licence to sell alcohol.
Turkish restaurant Silver Jubilee, on High Street, has applied to Hertsmere Borough Council to increase its current opening hours, and with it, the sale of booze.
The restaurant, which currently closes at midnight every evening, hopes to stay open until 1am Sunday to Thursday, and 2am Friday and Saturday.
The restaurant also has a takeaway service, which does not sell alcohol, but under the new opening hours would stay open until 2.30am seven days a week.
The application is currently at the consultation stage, which is due to finish at the end of this month.
