POLICE are hunting for information about a meat theft on Mutton Lane.

The force has released CCTV stills of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened in Tesco Express in Potters Bar.

Two men entered the shop between 7.20pm and 7.25pm on Thursday September 29. They walked to the meat aisle with a shopping basket each and filled their baskets with items. They then walked out of the shop without paying.

One of them was challenged by a member of staff, so returned the items, but then left with the other man in the direction of Mimms Hall Lane.

PC Dean Edwards, investigating from Potters Bar Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “We are really keen to speak to the people in the footage as they may be able to assist the investigation, or for anyone who recognises them to get in touch.

“We would also ask if anyone knows anything about the incident to please contact us.”

Anyone with information should call investigating officer PC Edwards via the non-emergency number 101.
