The boss of a Potters Bar home cleaning business is offering ten hours of free work to one lucky new customer.
In the three years since Ozshen “Ozzie” Masar founded Lily’s Cleaning, she has attracted about 90 customers, all in or around Potters Bar.
Ozzie runs her business from her home in St Vincent’s Way, employing a workforce of 11 women and one man - Ian McDonagh, who like her volunteers at the Potters Bar Air Cadets.
Ozzie said: “We have an odd relationship as he is my sergeant, and I am his boss. He goes from sergeant to feather duster.
“But that could change soon, as he is training to be my assistant.”
Ozzie has fitted out her team in pink and black uniforms, with pink dusters, cloths, gloves and footwear.
She said: “I have taken the colour and theme to put in some fun while putting sparkle into houses. We are offering 10 hours of free cleaning to the lucky client who comes in at 100.”
She started cleaning while studying graphic design at university, but has become an employer since finishing her studies, and plans to launch a limited company within a few months.
Ozzie charges Potters Bar customers £11/hour, but £12/hour for people outside her home town.
She is from a Turkish background, but acquired her nickname and slight accent from spending some of her youth in Australia,
