Potters Bar parks win prestigious green awards

TWO parks in Potters Bar have been nationally recognised as high quality green spaces.
Oakmere Park, off High Street and Parkfield, off Billy Lows Lane, have both been given the prestigious Green Flag Award.
The awards, which are run by the Keep Britain Tidy campaign, recognise well-managed, high quality free green spaces across the country.
Oakmere Park held the Green Flag award between 2002 and 2007, while Parkfield wins it for the first time.

Two other parks in Hertsmere, namely Aberford Park in Borehamwood and King George Recreation Ground in Bushey, also received Green Flag awards.
