Two Potters Bar parks have once again been recognised as being among the UK's best after having their Green Flag statuses renewed.
Oakmere Park was granted the prestigious status for the 15th time, alongside Parkfield (ninth time), with both being among six in Hertsmere to retain their Green Flags.
The awards are a national standard highlighting quality green spaces that are well-managed and have excellent facilities.
Borough councillor Seamus Quilty, environment portfolio holder with responsibility for parks, said he was “absolutely delighted” with the recognitions.
He added: “We recognise that quality parks and green spaces are important to local people and essential to healthy, happy communities, so we will continue to work hard to maintain these special places where residents can come together to rest, relax, play, exercise and have fun.”
