A MUSICAL mum from Potters Bar has won a starring role in the West End and a trip-of-a-lifetime thanks to popstar Jason Donovan.

Hayley Smart entered a competition for a walk-on role in Priscilla Queen of the Desert after listening to the breakfast show on radio station Heart 106.2.

The 36-year-old who is mum to Ashley, nine, and Jasmine, four, sang Chain of Fools from The Commitments and was selected into the final four.

On Friday morning live on air, former Neighbours heartthrob Jason Donovan joined presenters Jamie Theakston and Harriet Scott to give the casting vote.
