A Potters Bar house was burgled twice in the space of a week.

The Byng Drive property was first targeted overnight between January 28 to 29 and again yesterday between 12.20pm and 7.45pm.

During the first break-in, a Makita plant saw, a radio, two battery chargers and a battery were stolen.

Burglars had managed to get in through a first floor window and left through the ground floor patio door.

In yesterday’s burglary, they got in through a front window.

Damage was caused to a front lounge window and a side window.

It is not thought that anything was stolen on this occasion.

Police are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.

A Herts Police spokeswoman said: “Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the times stated is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/11148/19 or report information online at www.herts.police.uk/Report.
