A 20-year-old man has been charged after two teenage boys were allegedly assaulted in McDonald’s at Potters Bar last week.

The incident is believed to have occurred between 6.30pm and 6.45pm on Monday, February 18, in the Darkes Lane restaurant.

The victims suffered cuts to the legs.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Detective Constable Robert Wood said: “From our enquiries, we know that several members of the public will have witnessed what happened.

“I’m appealing for anyone who was at McDonald’s around (that time) and has not already spoken to police to get in touch as soon as possible.”

•Sonni Badgery of Aycliffe Road, Borehamwood, has been charged with two counts of wounding with intent, two counts of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on March 25.
