MEDALS, cash, a lap top, a mobile phone and jewellery have been stolen from a Potters Bar flat.

The High Street property was burgled on Tuesday between 6.30am and 5.30pm.

Crooks forced entry and swiped a number of medals, including a Falklands South Atlantic Medal, a Queens Jubilee Medal and a Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Detective Constable Sarah Gilbertson is investigating.

She said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anyone acting suspiciously to contact me with information.

“Understandably the victim would like to see the safe return of their stolen items, particularly the medals.

“If you know anyone who has come into possession of the any of the stolen goods mentioned above unexpectedly, or if you believe you have seen them for sale please contact me.”

Anyone with information should contact DC Gilbertson via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, an independent charity anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
