Potters Bar fire station will be opening its doors to the public with plenty of entertainment for the whole family.

Firefighters will be holding a family fun day on Saturday, September 9, from 10am until 4pm at the station in Mutton Lane.

There is no entry fee.

Adults and children can enjoy fire displays, bouncy castles, a funfair, petting zoo and a live owl display.

Families can also have a go at karaoke, sports activities and craft workshops.

Food and drink will be available on the day.

A fire station spokesman said: “This is a one day event, held inside the Potters Bar fire station.

“The aims are to raise fire safety awareness and for the community to visit their local fire station and crew.

“We are inviting members of the local community as well as residents from London and other parts of Hertfordshire.”

A VIP guest is also expected to make an appearance on the day.
