A 25-mile community cycle ride is coming to Potters Bar, with space for 100 people to participate.

The Potters Bar Ride 100 is hosted and organised by YourTown, and encourages Hertsmere residents to get on their bikes, meet new people and get fitter.

The ride takes place on Sunday, October 30 and will start and finish in Darkes Lane. Registration will take place from 9am at The Old Manor pub, Wyllyotts Place, Darkes Lane.

Riders will set off at 9.30am and ride through Potters Bar and the surrounding areas. It is not a race and the event is welcome to anyone age 16 and over.

Hertsmere Borough Council is supporting the event as part of its Health and Wellbeing partnership, which works to get people across the borough active in their communities.

Entry costs £10 and places can be booked at http://activetrainingworld.com/events/2016/10/30/potters_bar_ride100
