A COFFEE morning has raised more than 500 for a cancer charity.
Residents of Temple Court, a sheltered housing facility in Mimms Hall Road, Potters Bar, held a cake sale and served coffee, with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
A raffle was also held, and in total the morning raised 533 towards providing Macmillan nurses for people with cancer.
Furzefield ward councillor Peter Knell was invited to the morning as a special guest, and said: “The raffle had some tremendous prizes, and people just kept buying tickets.”
