Potters Bar carnival to host Battle of the Bands

Bands are being invited to play in the heats for the chance to be in Battle of the Bands at this year's Potters Bar carnival.
Potters Bar carnival is hosting Battle of the Bands, a new line up for 2017.
Bands are invited to play in the heats which are being held at the Strafford Arms Pub, Mutton Lane, Potters Bar.
Friday, April 28, saw the first of the heats which are family friendly, kids welcome along too.
The event had a good turnout with families, friends and regulars helping make sure the evening was a success.
Three bands performed on the evening, Supernova, The Shore and Front Rumours.
Supernova consisted of music school pupils from Potters Bar and Barnet, The Shore travelled all the way from Staines as part of the music project and Front Rumours are a High Barnet based band.
The band with the biggest crowd and most text votes will go through to the final, which will be held on June 11, at the Potters Bar Carnival at Elm Court Showground, Potters Bar, in front of up to 5,000 people.
There are still two more heats with the next one on May 19, from 7pm until 10pm and the final heat on May 28, from 3pm until 8pm.
