PLANNING chiefs have come under fire after rejecting an application to allow a property to operate as a care home on a permanent basis.
The application, from Arventa Care, which runs Kingsley Court in Potters Bar, was thrown out by Hertsmere Borough Council planning officers amid concerns over noise.
Planning officer Chris Lewcock described Arventa's application as "premature".
However, bosses at The Causeway care home have since lodged an appeal against the decision, branding it "unreasonable".
