Post office set to close for refurbishment

PUBLISHED: 12:00 27 March 2016

A post office is set to close for just under three weeks so a refurbishment can take place.

The Codicote post office in High Street will close on Saturday, April 2 at 12.30pm until Thursday, April 21, at 1pm. Upon completion services will be provided for an extra 45 hours each week, seven days a week, and will be given from a low-screened service point.

Kevin Shepherd, post office area manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents. We are confident that this vibrant new-style post office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”
