The ‘popular’ HealthFest returned to Hatfield town centre this weekend to inform residents on how to lead a healthy life.
The free family event, in White Lion Square, took place from 10am until 2pm, on Saturday, September 23.
Residents and visitors learnt how to improve their physical and mental health, with over 25 stalls providing information, advice and activities.
In addition there was also live stage performances featuring interactive fitness demonstrations as well as live music and dance.
New for this year were two activities in support of World Alzheimer’s Day on Wednesday, September 20.
A guided memory walk with Hertfordshire Health Walks and a memory tree for people to place photos and tributes to anyone they know who is living with or has been affected by Alzheimer’s.
Councillor Fiona Thomson, lead member for health, said: “I’m so pleased that we had another really successful HealthFest, it’s always great to see both children and adults taking an active interest in their mental and physical health and wellbeing.
“With increasingly busy lives it can be difficult to make time for as much exercise and healthy food as we should, but I hope that everyone who attended feels more inspired to live more active and healthy lives.”
