Popular fireworks display to return at Welwyn Garden City school

A Welwyn Garden City school will hold another fireworks display after raising £4,000 at last year’s event.
Harwood Hill JMI and Nursery School will again showcase two displays; the first a low-noise one for young children, followed by a main display.
The event will be at the Harwood Close school on Saturday, November 5, with gates opening from 5pm, and the main display at 7pm.
School committee member, Alison Hockley, said: “We’ve had such great feedback about the quality of both displays, that people started asking us if we were doing it again months ago.
“We’re inviting everyone in the community to come along again to enjoy a great family atmosphere, barbecue food, and to help us raise money for the school.
“Every single person involved in running the event is a volunteer, so all proceeds go to Harwood Hill School.”
She added money raised last year went on school resources and experiences for the children.
Entry is £6 per adult, £3.50 per child, and 3 years and under are free.
