Police are releasing a facial reconstruction image in connection with a distraction burglary that took place in Potters Bar.
It is related to a burglary on Tuesday, November 17, at approximately 7.30pm, on Northlands, where three men knocked on the resident’s door and mentioned there was a problem with a neighbour’s water supply and they asked to come in and check their water.
The resident allowed them inside and one offender began to search under the sink. The resident became suspicious and challenged the offenders, and had to push them from their address.
Two of the offenders were described as Eastern European men in their 30s, wearing dark coloured jackets, which had a yellow triangle on the shoulder.
Investigator Julie Fewings from the specialist unit Operation Manhunt said: “The victim has assisted police with creating this evo-fit of one of the suspects, which we are releasing to help the investigation.
“I’d urge anyone who may recognise this face or the description of the men given, to contact police immediately.”
If you can identify this man or have information about the incident, please contact Operation Manhunt via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number J3/15/1236.
