Police have released a CCTV image after a man was hit in the face and robbed in Hatfield.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was walking along Lark Rise when he was approached by attackers who stole his ruck sack, laptop, mobile phone and demanded his password.

The man was then hit in the face and threatened before the offenders ran off along Lark Rise in the direction of Bishop’s Rise.

Following the robbery at about 1.50am on Tuesday, November 28, police yesterday (Tuesday) released a CCTV image of three people they would like to speak to.

Detective Constable David Purvis said: “I am appealing to anyone who might recognise the people pictured in the CCTV image to please get in touch as soon as possible as they might have information which could prove to be crucial to our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number B2/17/5812.
