A van driver was caught driving one handed while on his phone today on the A1(M) in Hatfield.

Beds, Cambs and Herts Road Policing Unit tweeted: “Negotiating the junction from the A414 into the A1(M) one handed whilst on the phone isn’t very sensible, especially in front of a marked patrol car.

“Driver reported, potentially six points and a £200 fine in the post.”

The driver was stopped by police at Junction 3 just before the Hatfield tunnel.
