Former Hatfield police officer Simon Salway has been jailed for three years

Police expect to catch more Hertfordshire officers exploiting vulnerable women for sex, after three shocking cases came to light within a year.

Last month, after Hatfield officer Simon Salway and Hitchin’s Leigh Brightman were both jailed for misconduct in public office, a third Hertfordshire officer, Sam Floyd, received a suspended sentence for having sex with a woman he met through work.

Acting chief constable Bill Jephson told reporters: “I think there will be more coming through. I would be surprised if there were not more.”
