Police open murder inquiry after death of man in Panshanger

A murder inquiry has been started after a man who died in Panshanger was found with stab wounds, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Ley Walk in Welwyn Garden City at 1.39am this morning by the ambulance service to reports of a man in his 30s with a serious injury.

He was pronounced dead at the scene which remains guarded.

A post-mortem is yet to take place but detective inspector Pushpa Guild from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire major crime unit said: “We are at the very early stages of this investigation and are continuing to work to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this man’s death.”
