NINE police cars and a circling helicopter swirled around the scene of a suspected robbery in WGC.

The force helicopter was reported to have been hovering over the Panshanger area since about 3.15pm today (Thursday) when police cars raced to a house in Lincoln Close.

Borough councillor Helen Bromley, who was in the area at the time, said: “There was definitely something big going on.

“I could not help but ask what was going on and found out that apparently one suspect had been caught and another was still on the run.

“I don’t the severity of the crime but it seemed very serious.”

One man who works on the Moors Walk shopping parade told the WHT: “There's loads of police and a helicopter.

“Apparently it's regarding a daylight robbery on Lincoln Close.”

A Herts police spokesman told the WHT that at this time he was unable to confirm what had happened.
