Police removed travellers from land in Welwyn Garden City


Police issued a public order to move travellers off council-owned land in Welwyn Garden City.

Officers were called at 5.26pm on Saturday, September 3, to reports of suspected travellers attempting to get onto land at Haldens.

They used powers under Section 61 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act to move the travellers off the land.

The landowner, Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, has been informed.
