A MANHUNT took place in a village as police searched for a duo in connection with an attempted theft.
The police helicopter was sent out over Welwyn twice on Sunday as officers received reports of two people acting suspiciously by an electricity sub station in School Lane.
A 49-year-old man from St Albans was arrested for attempting to take some cables and is due to reappear before police on July 6.
