Police appeal after Brookmans Park stables blaze

Police have launched an appeal today after arsonists targeted stables in Brookmans Park causing thousands of pounds of damage.

The incident happened at Mymwood Padddocks in Kentish Lane between 9pm and 11pm on Thursday, July 12.

The fire and rescue service were called and fortunately no animals were injured or killed.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police are treating the incident as suspected arson and are now appealing for any witness or anyone with information to come forward.

“In particular, officers would like to speak to two males who were seen near to the location after the fire as they may have witnessed what happened.”

Any witnesses or anyone with information that could help the investigation should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/17092/18.
