Police have today released a fresh appeal and CCTV footage in connection with a Welwyn Garden City burglary.

The break-in happened in Burgundy Croft between 1am and 8am on Saturday, November 26.

Offender(s) gained entry to a property in the road via a rear door and stole a purse, bank cards, and a small amount of cash.

They also took a money tin and a stereo but these items were later recovered in the garden of the property.

One of the bank cards stolen during the burglary was later used at the Your Local store on Bridge Road East in Welwyn Garden City.

Officers would like to speak to the man seen in the footage as they believe he may have information that could assist them in their investigation.

They urged anyone with information to call Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number B1/16/4153.
