Police were called to Comet Way, Hatfield


Police were called to Hatfield following concerns for a woman.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called by a member of the public following concerns about the welfare of a woman who was found on Comet Way, Hatfield, at 1.59am yesterday.

“Officers are currently speaking to the complainant to determine the circumstances around the incident and undertake any further enquiries should that be necessary.”

An ambulance service spokesman said: “We received a call yesterday at 1.38pm to reports of an incident on Comet Way in Hatfield.

“We sent a rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew, and ambulance officer who treated a woman, believed to be in her 20s.

“After receiving treatment at the scene, she was taken to hospital for further care.”

Police officers are asking those in the area at the time who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious to call Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference B2/16/4413.
