Police are appealing for witnesses after two Welwyn Garden City burglaries

Police are appealing for witnesses following two burglaries in Welwyn Garden City.

The first incident happened between 1am and 8.10am on Saturday in Burgundy Croft.

Offender(s) have gained entry to a property in the road via a rear door and have stolen a purse, bank cards, and a small amount of cash.

They have attempted to steal a money tin and a stereo, but these items were later discovered in the garden of the property.

The second incident happened between 6.45am and 7am, also on Saturday, in Longlands Road, where offenders gained entry to a property using a rear door.

Once inside, they were disturbed by the occupants before running off. No items were stolen.
