Three burglaries and one attempted burglary have been connected by Herts Police.

Police were called to a Welwyn Garden City shopping parade last night to deal complaints about a gang of rowdy teenagers on bikes.

Officers arrived at 7.45pm at Moors Walk, where a group of boys between 12 and 14 were shouting, swearing, and riding bikes aggressively, even inside shops.

One concerned resident wrote on Facebook about children of about 12 intimidating the public and riding their bikes in Tesco Express.

A police spokeswoman said: “It is part on an ongoing problem of antisocial behaviour. PC James Tassell has been given the responsibility of tackling antisocial behaviour at Woodhall Shops, Peartree, Howlands, Hall Grove and Hollybush in Welwyn Garden City as part of Hertfordshire Constabulary’s commitment to drive down incidents of disorder in these areas.
If you saw the young people, have any descriptions or know who they may be, please contact police on 101.”
